Our Story

EDDY Foods has deep roots in the small town of Yoakum, deep in the heart of Texas. Here in Yoakum, the people of EDDY come to work each day and make some of the highest‐quality, best‐tasting beef, pork, poultry and bakery items found anywhere in the US. We’ve been doing this for more than 70 years.

The Beginning

It all started back in 1953 when E.R. “Eddy” Mayrant, his wife, and a small team of hard‐working Texans built a successful meat‐packing business ‐‐ “Eddy Packing, Co.”‐‐ with a commitment to producing high quality foods “Made with Family Pride.”

Making Moves

This small downtown Yoakum‐based enterprise grew through the years and in 1973 we moved into our current modern 300,000 square‐foot BRC Rated facility located just minutes from our original location.
